Systems therapeutics is the concept whereby a therapeutic, for example a drug or a biologic, acts at multiple sites that mechanistically underlie a disease or condition. Systems therapeutics is in contradistinction to the classical concept of a reductionist therapeutic whereby a drug or biologic acts at one underlying mechanism in a disease or condition. One emerging example of a systems therapeutic is the SRM (stem cell released molecules), where multiple molecules act at many mechanistic sites underlying the condition.==Other Resources==[[Category:|Category:]]
